Revealed a source familiar with the Council of Ministers, the existence of a defect in the servers of the central counting of electronic counting in the Electoral Commission for the elections, which facilitates fraud.
This is evidence that all the data indicate the lack of integrity about the upcoming parliamentary elections in Iraq, like previous ones, in order to keep the political situation as it is.
The source said in a press statement that the Council of Ministers sent a committee to determine the eligibility and validity of the counting and sorting services in the central servers, against the backdrop of hosting the commissioners in the Council of Ministers about two weeks ago.
The source added that the committee confirmed that there is a technical defect in some of the central servers, and recommended the need to bring experienced engineers to the servers to address them in less than a week, in order to ensure the smooth operation of the electoral process and abide by the promise of the Commission to announce the results within 24 hours.
The source pointed out that the talk about the return to counting and manual sorting is no longer realistic with the presence of such devices, especially since the process of counting and sorting by hand had led to the occurrence of fraud and violations should not be repeated.
Some of the political blocs have warned of the disruption of electronic counting and sorting devices and return to the counting and manual counting, which raised the dissatisfaction of the street and some political blocs in the elections in 2014.
