Source: Maliki reached for understandings with three blocks to form the largest bloc
An official source said Tuesday that the leaders of four political blocs participated in the elections reached preliminary understandings in order to form the largest parliamentary bloc led by the head of a coalition of law Nuri al-Maliki to form a government.
The source said in an interview with «Journal News», that "the leaders of the Fatah blocs and the rule of law and patriotism and wisdom held an expanded meeting and reached preliminary understandings in order to form the largest parliamentary bloc."
The source, who asked not to be named, said that "the meeting was led by the head of a coalition of state law Nuri al-Maliki," explaining that "the meeting stressed the need to accelerate the formation of the new government after the announcement of the election results in accordance with the constitutional period specified."
The Prime Minister Haider Abadi called on Monday, the political blocs to respect the election results and deal with complaints and objections according to legal methods, while the director of the media office of the leader of a coalition of state law Nuri al-Maliki, Hisham Rikabi, the next few hours will see the announcement of the alliance of the largest bloc.
