The Director General of the General Company for Exhibitions and Commercial Services Hashim Mohammad, on Sunday, with the Turkish Trade Attaché in Iraq Verdi Yiala, prospects and ways to strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
In a press statement, Mohammed said that he discussed with the Turkish commercial attaché inviting Turkish companies to participate in the upcoming Baghdad International Fair to see the investment opportunities in Iraq.
"The Iraqi and Turkish peoples understand each other and have common ties to facilitate business and cooperation with Turkish companies," he said.
He stressed that the Ministry of Commerce "extended official invitations to all countries to participate in the 45th session of the upcoming Baghdad International Fair."
He also called on the Turkish side to participate in the 16th trade fair of the OIC member states due to be held in Baghdad in April 2019 as Turkey is one of the most important Islamic countries in the world.
"The General Company for Trade and Trade Services of Iraq is ready to provide all means of cooperation and prospects for joint trade cooperation which would enhance the nature of trade and economic relations between the two neighboring countries."
