The Iraqi Central Bank Adviser on the Abu Naila surrenders to authorities

An
informed source revealed Monday that the CBI Adviser Ali Hassan Abu
Naila one indicted arrest warrantsCharges of corruption in the auction
sale of the currency,He turned himself in to authorities after he was
fleeing Beirut.

The source said that "Hassan Abu Naila and who worked as an adviser at the Central Bank of Iraq surrendered to the authorities".

The
source added that "Abu Naila was a fugitive in Beirut after the
issuance of the arrest warrant against him and a group of employees of
the Central Bank of Iraq on the issue of irregularities in an auction to
sell the currency at the Central Bank."

The sources said that
the first accused in the case of Central Bank Deputy Director of the
anti-money laundering Office fouzia Kadhim Ali surrendered to
authorities .

Fouzia Kadhim was Associate Director of money
laundering charged in Press Office Manager responsible for the
indictment of former Central Bank Governor Sinan Al-Shabibi and his
staff, saying he had no banking experience and that his appointment as
Director-General by the Prime Minister came in contrast to the desire of
Bank Governor Sinan Al-Shabibi.

Fouzia Kadhim is responsible for

An informed source disclosed that, the anti-money
laundering Office had reported the relationship, in his capacity as
Chairman of the Joint Council for the fight against corruption, on
suspicions of corruption and irregularities in the auction sale of
foreign currency at the Central Bank of Iraq in 2010, but no action was
taken, the source pointed out that the u.s. administration officials
were also aware of these irregularities and is not true to say that they
support the survival of Sinan Al-Shabibi
