    The deputy of the Democratic Party of Kurdistan, Majid Shankali, on Sunday, the political blocs, "Shiite" to evade its promises to Prime Minister-designate Adel Abdul-Mahdi.

    The new Arab quoted Shankali as saying that "the Shiite blocs such as the Fatah and the rule of law, which supported Abdul Mahdi as a compromise candidate, today shirked its promises to him, in exchange for access to their own interests."

    Shankali pointed out that "Abdul Mahdi did not submit his government program until now, which is supposed to be provided before the selection of cabinet cabins."

    "The decision of our participation as a democratic party, in the government of Abdul Mahdi, depends on what the party leadership decides."

    The Office of Adel Abdul-Mahdi said in a statement yesterday, "the portal was closed on time, where the number of completed nominations 15,184 candidates," noting that "the number of candidates with a doctorate reached 1,778 candidates by 12 percent, 2 per cent and 200 per cent, 14 per cent, females 15 per cent and males 85 per cent.

    "The electronic screening was completed and the applications that did not comply with the legal and technical conditions were excluded. The preliminary analysis was conducted according to the criteria, and the best 601 candidates were selected," the office said.

    He noted that "the Committee of Experts began to study the 601 applications to determine the best candidates to invite them to interviews."
