The spokesman for the Humm Movement, Saad Mahmoud Al-Masoudi, called on the Bar Association to hold accountable lawyers who abuse the profession.
Al-Masoudi told Al-Maalouma Agency, "Some lawyers insult religion and religious authority, and these actions are not appropriate for the profession."
He added, "There are names of lawyers who do not show respect because of their abuses and targeting of a large segment of the Iraqi people under the pretext of opposing the amendment of the Personal Status Law."
He pointed out that "there are popular and parliamentary demands for the Bar Association to cleanse its legal body of lawyers who harm the profession, considering that the continued practice of these lawyers is an insult to the rest of their colleagues." End / 25H
