The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasool, confirmed today, Saturday, that the Iraqi borders are fully secured.
Rasool said in a statement to /Al-Maalouma/ agency, that "the Iraqi security forces possess modern technologies and great military capabilities that prevent any terrorist from entering Iraq."
He added, "Operation Lions Leap in the desert of Anbar Governorate was qualitative and large, through which the Iraqi security forces were able to eliminate prominent leaders from the first rank of the terrorist organization."
Rasool indicated that "Operation Lions Leap was planned some time ago, according to accurate intelligence information and with follow-up by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces." End/25Q
