Israeli Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel decided on Tuesday evening to stop the importation of fruits and vegetables from the Palestinian Authority.
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that Ariel took this step after the Palestinian Authority decided to stop importing sheep from Israel.
This development comes in the face of growing tension between the two sides, because of attacks by settlers and elements of the Israeli army against Palestinians in the West Bank for days.
The Palestinian Authority threatened Israel to review all agreements signed between the two parties, if the current wave of Israeli attacks did not stop.
The Paris Agreement regulates relations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority in the sectors of import and export, taxation, customs, banks, production, currency exchange and trade.
