The Sadikon bloc on Thursday confirmed its intention and other blocs to enact a law that requires the removal of all foreign troops from Iraq, rejecting US warnings that affect their presence.

"These warnings do not mean anything to us and we are determined to legislate a law that will force all foreign forces out of all Iraqi territory," Salem said in a statement.

He added that "these warnings indicate that America has goals and agendas, and wants to stay in Iraq for a longer period, to implement their projects, but this dream will not be achieved, and we are involved in legislation law, no matter what warned America or other countries."

Press reports have indicated that Iraqi officials have asked US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to keep his troops in Iraq and not withdraw them.
