Today, Friday, the MP from the Al-Fateh Alliance Fadel Al-Fatlawi said that the Shiite blocs are continuing the dialogue in order to agree on a guaranteed person to vote in Parliament to be a substitute for Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, pointing out that consensus will take place from all parties before submitting the candidate to the presidency.
Al-Fatlawi said, "The Shiite blocs are still conducting dialogues among themselves, and a certain personality is being agreed upon in order to present it to the President of the Republic in order to assign him."
He added, "The Shiite forces are aware of the difficulty of the situation, especially since Allawi's passing did not constitute a dangerous turn, and therefore the Shiite blocs are aware of the seriousness of the situation, and as a result of this, the blocs will present their candidate to the rest of the Sunni and Kurdish parties in order to agree to take over the prime minister."
And, "The personality that will come to succeed Allawi will be nominated from among the old figures that were previously proposed, in addition to including some new names that were not previously proposed for the nomination, as dialogues are still ongoing to agree on a guaranteed person to vote in Parliament to resolve its matter before the 15-day constitutional deadline is over. ” Finished 2
