The Foreign Ministry issues a statement on the invitation of Ambassadors in Baghdad to attend the Norouz celebrations

The State Department issued a clarification on the invitation of ambassadors in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to attend the Norouz celebrations.
"The invitation of the ambassadors of the countries accredited to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]to attend the celebrations of Nowruz in the Kurdistan [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] is an annual tradition of the Kurdistan Regional Government, and at its expense in terms of hospitality, accommodation, and others."
He added that "the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is to coordinate the delivery of invitations only to these embassies as the ministry is the government agency dealing with embassies accredited to Baghdad, and does not play any other role in relation to this invitation."
