The Ministry of Electricity confirmed on Tuesday that the ministry continues to import imported gas from Iran by 28 million cubic feet per day to feed the production plants.
"Iran is supplying Iraq with 1,200 megawatts of electricity and currently imports 28 million cubic feet of Iranian gas a day," said ministry spokesman Musab al-Mudar.
He added that "Iraq imports from Iran 4,700 megawatts of energy needed by Iraq to face the summer and provide it to the Iraqi citizen."
The ministry said that "the announcement by the United States to end the exemptions does not include the Ministry of Electricity, but included some countries that deal with the Iranian side to buy crude oil." End / p
