The Ministry of Oil, on Thursday, the ability of Iraq to increase oil production to 6 million barrels per day.
"Iraq is capable of increasing its oil production to six million barrels per day if necessary, but it is committed to OPEC-led production cuts and will not take unilateral action to boost supply," Oil Minister Thamer Ghadhban told a news conference on Monday.
"There is no acute oil shortage at the moment, but Iraq will continue to monitor the market to assess the need for additional quantities during the next OPEC meeting," Ghadhban said.
"Iraq wants fair oil prices for producers and we believe prices have improved."
