MP accused of the province of Nineveh, Mansour al-Murad, Sunday, leaders of the Axis alliance pressure on the Nineveh Council to pass their candidates for the post of governor.
In a statement received by Mawazine News, the leader of the Axis alliance, Falah Hassan Zaidan, described the corruption as "the focus of corruption." Zidane stopped the dismissal of former governor Nawfal al-Aakoub and dissolved the council a year and a half ago.
"We have personally worked more than a year and a half ago to sack the governor and dissolve the Ninewa provincial council, but Falah Zaidan and others are the ones who stood against it," he said, noting that "Zidane is the focus of corruption and is currently talking about the corruption of the Nineveh Council."
"The failure of the negotiations conducted by some of the deputies of Nineveh with the provincial council and did not reach anything with them."
