Aborted attempt to smuggle oil from a pipe in Basra

South Oil Police announced on Thursday the foiling of an attempt to smuggle one of the oil pipelines in the province of Basra.
The police statement received by "step Press" that "the battalion west of the northern Rumaila thwarted the smuggling of a line of the mobile pipeline from the station Artawi to ps1 Ahdab," pointing out "the seizure of the violations during the ongoing field patrols of the tube cutter by the regiment and noted the existence of a valve with a tube Rubber is about 100 meters long with Robin tied to the tube, noting that the diameter of the pipe (24) knots transporting crude oil product.
"When calling the technical teams of the Ministry of Oil to repair the breach shows the absence of any smuggling carried out by this breach as it was newly discovered and the abolition of the scheme of smuggling gangs to manipulate the resources and wealth of the country."
