    The Central Bank of Iraq announced on Friday the allocation of billions of dinars for the effects of Babylon, pointing out that these funds will be spent in coordination with the Ministry of Culture and local authorities.

    "Given the importance of including Babylon's monuments on the World Heritage List and because this event represents a national responsibility shared by state institutions in solidarity, one billion Iraqi dinars will be allocated from the Tamkeen account," the bank said in a statement.

    The statement added that "these amounts will be disbursed to meet the requirements of this listing to be determined later form of the contribution after consultation and coordination with the Ministry of Culture and Antiquities and the province of Babylon and the rest of the concerned bodies."
