Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani stressed, on Tuesday, the need to redouble efforts to stop the war on Gaza and Lebanon.
A statement from his office received by Mawazine News stated that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received a phone call today, Tuesday, from US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
" Al-Sudani discussed with Blinken "the risks resulting from the continued Zionist aggression on Gaza and Lebanon and its impact on the security and stability of the region and the world," stressing "the need for the United States and other major countries to redouble efforts to stop this war.
" The Prime Minister pointed to "the importance of continuous work to mitigate the harsh humanitarian effects of the war, and to intensify efforts to deliver relief supplies to civilians inside conflict areas or those displaced by the war."
