    [size=45]In light of the increasing health challenges and Iraq’s pursuit of achieving self-sufficiency in medicine, the idea of ​​establishing “pharmaceutical cities” emerges as one of the strategic solutions to enhance the health and economic sectors in the country.[/size]
    [size=45]These pharmaceutical cities, which aim to bring together activities related to pharmaceutical industries in integrated locations, can contribute to reducing dependence on imported medicines and supporting local industries.[/size]
    [size=45]This approach comes within the framework of a comprehensive strategy to increase national production, provide new job opportunities, and achieve better stability in the field of medicines, amid demands from experts to develop well-thought-out plans to ensure the success of this vital project.[/size]
    [size=45]MP Mudhar Maan confirmed that there is a movement to establish 3 pharmaceutical cities in Iraq.[/size]
    [size=45]Maan said, "Iraq imports medicines that cost several billion dollars annually, which puts pressure on the budget despite the existence of all means of success in achieving the principle of self-sufficiency through establishing factories and creating international investments to produce hundreds of types of medicines and medical drugs."[/size]
    [size=45]He added, "There is actual movement to establish 3 cities specialized in the production of medicines through investment, which can achieve self-sufficiency in medicines for hospitals and the health sector in general, with the possibility of exporting abroad."[/size]
    [size=45]He added, "From 12-15 countries, they expressed their desire for their specialized companies to have a role in establishing pharmaceutical factories in Iraq through investment or supporting government efforts to transfer their experiences and create a partnership in the fields of work."[/size]
    [size=45]It is noteworthy that Iraq imports the largest proportion of its medicine needs from abroad, which is expensive and costly compared to if it were produced domestically.[/size]
