The spokesman for the Ministry of Interior and the Security Media Cell, Brigadier General Muqdad Miri, confirmed that the ministry has achieved a very significant decrease in crime rates throughout the country.
During a joint press conference with the Director General of Traffic, Raad Mahdi, Miri said, “The ministry worked on opening an office for the national card in London, and other offices will be opened in Amman and Istanbul. We have exceeded the barrier of 41 million cards,” indicating that “36,867 Lebanese people came to Iraq, and 11,444 of them left.”
"The National Data Center has been opened and it contributes to the process of transferring souls and applying for the national card from anywhere," Miri added, stressing that "the ministry will work to introduce automation in all the joints of the Ministry of Interior. There is an experiment by the Ministry of Interior, which is the electronic passport, in which the corruption rate has reached zero, and very soon the electronic passport will be printed in Iraq through the police box."
He continued: "In the coming period, we will open 46 low-cost police stations," indicating that "Dhi Qar will be a model of security after crime decreased significantly after the implementation of arrest warrants against wanted persons."
He explained: “We have achieved a very significant decrease in crime rates throughout the country by 13 percent, as 600 drug networks were dismantled in Iraq, and the rate of trafficking and abuse decreased. There is international cooperation and high coordination with other countries, and cases of tribal assault have been addressed, and there is a significant decline and decrease in theft.”
Regarding environmental pollution, Miri said: “We conducted 360 inspections and issued 28 closure notices. Our detachments also closed 80 brick factories, 144 primitive smelting furnaces, 57 asphalt factories, and 10 concrete casting factories,” noting that “the Police Sports Club stadium has reached advanced stages and will be ready in the coming period.”
