[size=45]Health Minister Alaeddin Alwan said on Monday that the country needs more than 10,000 family doctors.
[size=45]Alwan told a joint news conference with the Iraqi Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization that there are 550 to 600 family doctors in Iraq, while the actual need requires more than 10,000 doctors.[/size]
[size=45]On food safety, Al-Alwan confirmed that the ministry conducted an assessment in this field and found a significant gap in food safety in Iraq.[/size]
[size=45]He said a plan of action had been prepared to strengthen health control of food and medicine to maintain food safety.[/size]
