    The Basra Provincial Council announced on Monday the approval of the Ministry of Industry on seven investment opportunities to open production lines within Basra factories, indicating that the investment opportunities will provide more than 25 thousand jobs.
    "After long discussions with the Ministry of Industry, I have agreed to seven new investment opportunities," Council member Anwar Majdal said.
    "The investment opportunities will be the opening of new production lines within petrochemical plants and fertilizers in the Creek and Abu Al-Khasib and the laboratory and the paper mill," adding that "these lines will move the economic wheel of Basra."
    She explained that "the lines will cover some of Basra's local need and others covering the need of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] including fertilizer plant lines," pointing out that "these new lines will provide the people of Basra more than 25 thousand new jobs."
    She pointed out that "the Council in the stage of economic feasibility study to submit to the Ministry and then announce those opportunities for transmission."
