A government official in the office of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi said on Monday that the government is in contact with US and Western officials about bombing the crowd sites.
The official said that "government contacts began since last Friday evening with US and Western officials with the aim of stopping any activities, whether American or (Israeli), against the crowd factions under the pretext of standing with Tehran."
He pointed out, that "those contacts, especially those relating to the Americans did not result in any assurances or pledge to stop attacks on the Popular Mobilization Camps, which is certain to be the Zionist entity behind them."
