Iraq agreed with Britain to send British security experts to investigate the security of Baghdad international airport.
The
Ministry said in a statement today that it came "at a meeting of
Transport Minister Hadi al Amri in the library of the British Ambassador
in Baghdad Iraq Simon Cowles and discuss the mechanisms of open line
[Baghdad-London] to be open on March 5.
The statement added that
"the two sides discussed the issue of strengthening joint cooperation
and development prospects of transport mechanism between the two
countries, and agreed to send British experts competent in security side
to check security at Baghdad international airport and the security
companies operating at the airport."
