A group of Dhi Qar clans met today, Thursday morning, in Sabah Al-Rumaidh host, regarding developments in the province and ongoing protests, as the meeting came out with several items to preserve civil peace in Dhi Qar.
The text of the statement as received by "Al-Ahed News"
There are internal and external conspiracies in order to tamper with the security of the province and its stability, so we must take care and caution, unify the word, and close ranks for the sake of our dear province.
We thank the responsible reference, headed by Mr. Sistani, which is the safety valve of Iraq, for its stances towards peaceful demonstrations and support for peaceful demonstrators.
We support the peaceful demonstrators and encourage their hands in their legitimate demands and rights, and we demand them to preserve the state's property and the security of the province, and we ask them to demonstrate peacefully within Al-Haboubi Square, and we ask the state to implement the legitimate demands of the demonstrators.
- The security authorities should provide full protection for the peaceful demonstrators inside Haboubi Square, and any exposure to peaceful demonstrators shall be condemned and condemned.
- Peaceful demonstrators must respect the security services who perform their duties in protecting the protesters, and we demand that schools and all departments be opened.
- Whoever exits the sit-in square (Haboubi Square) and carries out sabotage operations, as we are not responsible for it before the state and the tribes.
- Our honorable sheikhs and our honorable clans must close ranks and unify the word for the sake of the security of the province and the safety of our children from any external or internal danger.
- We ask the new Prime Minister to implement the election law and expedite the setting of the election date.
We ask God to preserve Iraq and its people, and to defeat his enemies and those who lie in wait for him.
