Pyongyang on Sunday tested multiple super-rocket launchers, North Korea's official news agency reported Monday.
The agency noted that the test was completed "on Sunday", indicating that it aims "to verify once again the technological features of the launch system that will be delivered to the Korean People's Army."
The test was supervised by Vice Chairman of the ruling Workers' Party Central Committee, Ri Byung-chul, according to the agency.
North Korea has doubled its arms tests since November, with no progress in negotiations that the United States hopes to persuade Pyongyang to abandon its nuclear program.
These negotiations have ranged in place since the failure of the second summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in February 2019 in Hanoi, despite the occurrence of a very symbolic meeting between the two men last June in the demilitarized zone between the two parts of the Korean peninsula.
Analysts say Pyongyang is gradually improving its military capabilities despite sanctions and condemnations.
