Parliamentary Agriculture: ISIS's recent attacks are aimed at hitting the national economy

The head of the Committee on Agriculture, Water, and Parliament Marshes, Salam al-Shammari, described the recent ISIS terrorist attacks as "part of a plan to strike at the economy and national stability."
Al-Shammari said in a press statement: "The period leading up to the recent [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] terrorist attacks witnessed systematic operations to burn agricultural lands, especially wheat and barley farms."
He added that: "After announcing the arrival of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] self-sufficiency from most crops and agricultural products and preparing for export, terrorism began to implement malicious plans paid internally and externally to strike the national economy and societal stability."
Al-Shammari stressed: "the importance of strengthening the security headquarters with intelligence capabilities and the cooperation of the people of the regions that are under attack in order to finish this matter and not return to what happened in 2014."
