Al-Baiji said in a statement, which received (information), a copy of it, that "the burning of agricultural lands stands behind him to hit the country's economy, especially after we witnessed self-sufficiency of most of the agricultural crops that were mostly imported from outside the country."
Al-Baiji called on the Iraqi government and the competent authorities to "intervene as quickly as possible to stand behind the hidden parties and hands that burn agricultural lands and destroy the economy through this terrorist act that aims to destroy agriculture in the country."
And between, "The agriculture in the country is one of the most important economic sectors that are no less important than the oil sector, which we hope the government will support because it represents an important resource for all the Iraqi people, so we hope that there will be a rapid move by the government to find out who is carrying out this terrorist act."
He expressed his hope from the new government that "it will support the agricultural sector, which is considered one of the most important sectors that supports the state budget after oil, especially after the great collapse in oil prices. Therefore, Iraqi farmers must be supported to advance the agricultural reality and upgrade this important sector to serve everyone." Ended / 25
