It seems that the Iraqi government has settled the ongoing dispute over changing the exchange rate of the dollar in the 2021 budget, which has become a new obstacle to its passage, with some blocs threatening to boycott the vote if the pricing is not changed.
Spokesman for the Prime Minister, Hassan Nazim, said that the parliament has the opportunity to express its opinion on the exchange rate of the dollar and change it within the budget, but its decision will not be binding on the application by the government because the price change is related to the government and the Central Bank, which set the dollar exchange rate at 1450 dinars, while the decision rests with the parliament.
