    Masjedi said in a press statement that "Iran will continue to export gas and electricity to Iraq because this contributes to alleviating problems for the Iraqi people," adding that "Iraqi officials are expected to improve and accelerate the mechanisms of paying Iranian money."
    With regard to the payment of Iranian exports funds to Iraq, Masjedi quoted the Iraqi Finance Minister, that this issue was discussed during the recent visit of the Iranian Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare to Baghdad, Muhammad Shariatmadari, and the funds will be transferred to Iran according to a specific timetable.
