On Wednesday, the Supreme Security Committee for Elections issued 5 directives to the security services related to the electoral process and the propaganda associated with it.
The committee stated in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of, that it coincided with the imminent holding of the Iraqi elections and preparations for the start of propaganda campaigns for all voters and candidates, and within the framework of the Supreme Security Committee for Elections' keenness to preserve the integrity of the elections on the one hand and to preserve the independence of the security establishment on the other hand and prevent them in Going into the midst of the upcoming elections, except through their professional work focused on securing the electoral process exclusively. We decided to direct the security and military forces and all formations concerned with election security to do the following: -
1- Stand at the same distance from all the candidates and not favor one candidate over another in any way.
2 - Not to accompany the candidates or all entities and parties during their propaganda campaigns for any reason whatsoever.
3- It is forbidden to block streets and public squares for the purpose of advertising and electoral events, and this is limited to the approval of the Supreme Security Committee for Elections.
4- Not to use government wheels belonging to state institutions for the purposes of elections and promotional advertisements for parties, entities and all candidates.
5- Not to exploit official institutions to make them a media platform for any candidate. Ended 29 / h
