{Politics: Euphrates News} The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, discussed this evening, Friday, by phone with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to strengthen bilateral relations between the region and the Gulf state.

A statement by the regional government, which Al-Furat News received a copy of, said that the two sides "exchanged congratulations and blessings on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr."
Barzani expressed during the call, "his appreciation for the condemnation of the State of Qatar for the recent attacks on Erbil International Airport, and discussed the latest regional developments."
The two sides expressed their "common readiness to increase trade exchange between the two sides and boost investment, and it was agreed to keep close contact on issues of common concern."
