    Gold prices decreased in Iraq, after a strong price jump witnessed by the yellow metal last Wednesday.


    Globally, gold hovered near its highest level in more than four months, which it reached during the previous session, supported by a drop in the dollar and US bond yields as investors overlooked the Federal Reserve's hints about a possible reduction of economic support measures.





     
    The spot price of gold rose 0.4% to $ 1876.80 an ounce by 1436 GMT. US gold futures fell 0.2% to $ 1878.10.
     
    In other precious metals, palladium fell 0.6% to $ 2851.89 an ounce, silver stabilized at $ 27.74, while platinum advanced 0.8%, recording $ 1,200.04 an ounce.
