The central bank achieves additional revenues in the first quarter of 2021

The Central Bank of Iraq achieved additional returns on its investments during the first quarter of the year 2021 compared to the fourth quarter of last year. This came as a result of its adoption of the principle of self-management of investments as part of its efforts to adopt international best practices in managing investments that allow greater flexibility and control benefiting from electronic trading platforms that Owned by this bank, and specialized technical personnel trained to work on it.
The Central Bank confirms that working according to the above mechanisms and practices has achieved additional returns resulting from the difference in negotiating interest rates with correspondents at a rate of more than 1% of the total returns achieved on this bank's investments for the first semester of 2021.
