    Oil prices rose today, Tuesday, due to supply shortages and high vaccination rates, which will help offset any impact on demand due to the high cases of Corona virus infection around the world.
    Brent crude futures rose 25 cents, or 0.33 percent, to $74.93 a barrel.
    US West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose 20 cents, to $72.11 a barrel.
    A White House official said that broader travel restrictions will not be lifted due to the highly contagious delta type and increasing local infections, and Britain reported its lowest daily total of new COVID-19 cases since July 4 until Monday, indicating that the recent increase in infections has passed its peak. .
    Global oil markets are expected to remain in deficit despite the decision of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies, collectively known as OPEC+, to increase production through the end of the year.
