Today, Tuesday, the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hassan Karim Al-Kaabi, called for activating the paragraphs of the Yazidi survivors bill that the House of Representatives voted on earlier, because of its positive effects on the justice of this segment.
Al-Kaabi said in a statement on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of the Sinjar massacre and the genocide of the Yazidi component at the hands of terrorist gangs of ISIS, which was received by Mawazine News, that "we demand the activation of the paragraphs of the Yazidi survivors bill that the House of Representatives voted on earlier, because of its Positive effects by redressing this segment financially and morally and removing the negative effects,” stressing “the necessity of opening mass graves and identifying the remains of the martyrs from the Yazidi component, and the return of the prisoners and detainees in ISIS camps, which needs a great international and international effort.”
He added, "We call for the necessity of supporting the efforts of the federal government to restore security and administrative stability to the district of Sinjar," explaining that "it is not possible to imagine reconstruction and construction in this dear city unless the local administration in it is stable," noting that "what happened in Sinjar is a deep wound." in the Iraqi body, and its traces still remain until now.”
Al-Kaabi continued, "Sinjar suffers until this moment from the lack of return of the displaced, and dozens of its women are still missing and no one knows their fate after being enslaved by obscurantist terrorism." subject to non-national projects.
He stressed, "the need to resolve the compensation file as soon as possible to encourage the displaced to return and the necessary attention from all parties related to the reconstruction of this city and the provision of all services there."
At the same time, a member of the Presidency called on the international community to take an active role in the return of the Yazidi prisoners and detainees who are in ISIS prisons and camps, as well as the need to internationalize what happened in the city of Sinjar as a crime of genocide against humanity and to prosecute the perpetrators wherever they are.
