Baghdad - Mawazine News, a
member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Salim Hamza, stressed, on Wednesday, the need to subject all border crossings in the country, without exception, to the control of the federal state.
Hamza said in a televised statement, followed by "Mawazine News", that "land and sea border crossings are federal outlets found in the Iraqi constitution," adding that "some of the ports in the Kurdistan region are outside the control of the federal government so far."
He pointed out that "the constitution gives the right for the federal government to extend its control over all land and sea border crossings, especially the Kurdistan region, and to see its imports, similar to other border crossings." Ended 29/A 4
