{Local: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Communications signed, on Wednesday, a contract with EgyptAir to transport Iraqi mail to the countries of the world.
The General Director of the General Postal and Savings Company and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Idris Khaled Abdel Rahman, said in a press interview, "The Post Company signed for the first time with EgyptAir a contract to transport mail with the aim of improving the postal services provided by it and to ensure the speedy arrival of mail from Iraq to all countries. the scientist".
He added, "The signing of the contract will contribute to providing great possibilities in delivering Iraqi mail to various countries of the world in a record time characterized by accuracy and safety, and to ensure the delivery of outgoing mail to all countries of the world from 3 to 7 days."
He pointed out that "the contract guarantees the avoidance of delays or loss of postal items and parcels by relying on the advanced IPS system in retrieval, as the system provides the possibility of tracking various postal items," except for that "an important step in the way of competing with international companies according to the latest technologies in force."
