The Supreme Security Committee for Elections announced, on Saturday, emergency measures related to polling day, including the disruption of working hours.
The head of the committee, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, said in a conference that "Mawazine News" followed, that "the committee has completed all plans for securing the polling day, and that Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi will supervise the procedures for securing the elections."
Al-Shammari added, "The security forces have entered a state of alert, and they will not allow anyone to influence the voters," pointing out "the closure of all border crossings and airports, the closure of movement between governorates and the ban on carrying wheels and bicycles."
He continued, "The chances of a comprehensive curfew when necessary, as well as not allowing mobile phones to enter polling stations, and preventing the use of drones."
