Tehran renewed its willingness to support the government and people of Iraq, considering that the Iraqi parliamentary elections are an indication of the deep intellectual and cultural maturity of the Iraqi people.
This came during a meeting with Ali Akbar Velayati, Advisor to the Leader of the Iranian Revolution for International Affairs, to former Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi in Tehran, during which Velayati confirmed the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries in all fields, expressing his hope that the results of the recent elections would push forward the process of prosperity in Iraq. .
