The statement said that "the head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafari, received in his office in Baghdad president of a coalition united to reform Osama Najafi." The statement added that "the two sides discussed the need to activate the complementary role of the three powers (executive, legislative, and judicial) in the light of common understandings of the public interest of the country." He stressed the two sides, according to the statement, "the need to abide by the constitution, laws and legislation that affect the lives of Iraqi citizens directly."
