{Economic: Al Furat News} Oil prices rose today, Tuesday, to their highest levels in more than seven years, due to fears of possible supply disruptions.
"The new geopolitical tension is adding to the current signs of tightness in the market," an analyst from ANZ Research said in a note.
Brent crude futures rose in morning trading, by 0.97% to $ 87.31 a barrel, the highest level since October 30, 2014.
US West Texas Intermediate crude futures jumped 1.27% to $ 84.36 a barrel, not far from the highest level in more than two months of $ 84.78 reached earlier.
Monday's trading was limited due to a public holiday in the United States.
