The Ministry of Water Resources revealed, on Wednesday, the postponement of the Iraqi delegation's visit to Turkey.
In an exclusive interview with Mawazine News Agency, Hatem Hussein, Director of Information of the Ministry, said that the visit of the Iraqi delegation to Turkey to discuss the water file was postponed after a request submitted by the Turkish government due to the conditions related to the outbreak of the Corona virus.
Abdullah pointed out that no new date was set for the visit, which was scheduled two weeks ago, in order to control the epidemiological situation in Turkey.
An Iraqi delegation would soon visit Ankara to discuss with the Turkish side the water file, and to follow up on the memorandum of understanding that was recently reached on a clear formula that determines Iraq's water share from the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Ended 29/R77
