Antoine said in a statement to "Al-Maalouma", that "the government knows very well that it reduced, by a decision of the Ministry of Agriculture, the area of agriculture by 50% compared to last year, which made the food crisis in Iraq greater than that of non-countries."
He added that "advisers to the prime minister, government and trade failed to manage the crisis and were unable to extrapolate the economic situation and the global crisis that was looming on the horizon, especially with the war of Russia and Ukraine."
Antoine pointed out that “trade’s work is focused on securing food for 40 million citizens away from the ration card, but it was watching amid an attack by economic mafias that controlled the Iraqi market and raised prices according to their mood.” End / 25 D
