    The Ministry of Agriculture will implement, during the upcoming summer season, a project that is the latest in the Arab region, to develop the qualities of crop seeds with the aim of quantitatively and qualitatively raising agricultural production, using modern digital technologies.
    The Director-General of the Department of Seed Examination and Development in the Ministry, Muhammad Zain al-Abidin, said in a statement reported by the newspaper “Al-Sabah” and seen by “The Information”, that “the ministry will implement, for the first time at the level of the Arab region, a project for digital technologies, which is the latest in the world, and is specialized in developing the types of crop seeds, with the aim of Quantitative and qualitative increase in agricultural production, as part of its plan to develop the sector in a modern scientific way.
    Zain Al-Abidin added, "The project, whose completion rates have exceeded 80 percent so far, will shorten the time and effort of technically developing seed research, which usually takes many years," noting that "the project, which will be implemented within the next summer plan, will also enable those in charge of it, to know The quality of the seeds, the environment, the appropriate method of planting them, and the strain to which they belong through the digital footprint of the seeds.
    Regarding the other advantages of the project, Zain Al-Abidin explained that “it diagnoses the seeds in a scientific and accurate manner, with the aim of reducing the errors that result from them later, and it also reduces efforts to detect different types of seeds, and to form new ones,” revealing “its application in a limited research manner within the winter plan.” past a farmer, and achieved high achievement rates.” finished/25
