Baghdad trade mobilizes for demonstrations to overthrow the Minister of Agriculture: caused the starving of the poor
Shafaq News/ On Monday, the Baghdad Chamber of Commerce called on citizens and merchants to demonstrate tomorrow, Tuesday, in front of the Ministry of Agriculture's headquarters to dismiss its minister, Muhammad al-Khafaji.
The chamber said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency that it "calls on behalf of the people all our oppressed Iraqi people, citizens and merchants who were affected by government policies and wrong decisions that led us to an inevitable hunger to demonstrate in front of the Ministry of Agriculture next Tuesday at nine in the morning."
The chamber called on members of the Iraqi parliament to "stand with it in order to dismiss the Minister of Agriculture, Muhammad al-Khafaji, for causing food security to be endangered, collapsing and starving the poor."
