The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs confirmed that the new retirement and social security law will equalize the salaries of workers in the private sector and employees in the public sector.
Director of the Retirement and Social Security Department for Workers at the Ministry, Kholoud Hiran, said, "The department's efforts are directed towards expediting the approval of the new retirement and social security draft law, as it includes many privileges, including that the salary of workers in the private sector will be equal to what their peers receive in the public sector.
" That "there is continuous communication with the House of Representatives for the purpose of expediting a vote on this law,"
and the Director of the Retirement Department expressed her hope that "the law will be voted on during the first months of the current year 2023 so that all insured workers and retirees can obtain their rights stipulated in the law."
