    Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Migration and Displacement confirmed its move towards e-governance, while setting a date for its implementation.
    The ministry's spokesman, Ali Abbas, told the Iraqi News Agency that "the governance system falls within a program adopted by the state in general for its institutions, including the Ministry of Migration and Displacement," noting that "part of this system is the documentation and governance of the material on which the ministry and its data work."
    Abbas added that "the ministry may seek help from it during the period of building plans, programs or projects, as it is possible to derive information from it that gives a clear vision in reading the scene on the issue of migration, its numbers, categories, regions, classification, specialization, areas of presence and the categories it contains."
    He continued, "On this basis, the ministry is working on archiving databases to link them later to a system that gives a rich material on the information available to the ministry about the category of immigrants and all the categories that represent the ministry and work in it, whether they are displaced, immigrants and qualified people."
    He pointed out that "the ministry has a partnership with international organizations, and there is a trend from previous and current governments to archive what the ministry owns of information and use it and refer to it when needed or when developing a plan or program for this category," stressing that "the Ministry of Immigration is proceeding in this direction."
    He noted that "the ministry's limited capabilities in the matter of governance need an infrastructure in this area of ​​the Internet and electronic devices, and employees are specialized in archiving, numbering, correspondence and conversation in this field," stressing that "there are good steps in this direction and it can be accomplished in the near future."
