To put forward a new candidate, Al-Amiri officially requests a meeting with Al-Sadr
Shafaq News/ A leader in the Fatah Alliance led by Hadi al-Amiri revealed today, Tuesday, the latter's request to meet with the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, at the end of this week.
The leader, who chose not to be named, told Shafaq News Agency, that Al-Amiri informed the private office that he wants to visit Muqtada Al-Sadr next Thursday, explaining that there is no response to the visit by Al-Sadr's office so far.
And he indicated that Al-Amiri is working to solve the crisis between Al-Sadr and the leaders of the coordination framework by putting forward a new acceptable candidate for the position of prime minister, and forming the government, provided that early elections will be held within a period not exceeding one year.
Since the beginning of this week, Al-Amiri has been visiting political leaders, beginning with the Kurdistan Region, and ending today with the representative of the United Nations, with the aim of launching an initiative to sit at the dialogue table to overcome the current political crisis facing the country.
Today, multiple sources from within the coordination framework, which brings together Shiite forces with the exception of the Sadrist movement, revealed to Shafaq News Agency, that all the leaders of the framework and the blocs allied with it will attend the "national dialogue" tomorrow, and indicated the nomination of two alternatives to head the government instead of Muhammad Shia al-Sudani.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, a "national meeting" will be held at the government palace in Baghdad, called by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, with the participation of leaders of political forces, to start a "serious" national dialogue; And finding solutions to the current political crisis, and the current closures within the scope of the constitution.
