The price of the Bitcoin cryptocurrency continues its decline, as it fell, Monday morning, by 5 percent, to trade the currency at the level of $16,000, according to trading data.
As of 8.18 GMT, the price of bitcoin on the "Binance" platform, the largest cryptocurrency trading platform, was $ 15.99 thousand, a decrease of 5.1 percent.
Bitcoin is trying to hold the $16,000 level amid the crisis around cryptocurrency exchange FTX, which has declared bankruptcy. Since last Tuesday, the cryptocurrency has fallen from $20.56,000, losing more than 20 percent of its total value.
