    Today, Friday, the Ministry of Oil pledged to increase its products in the coming months.
    The ministry said in a statement, "Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul-Ghani, during his visit to the Central Refineries Company 
    , confirmed that developing the refining sector and increasing production is one of the goals of the government program  
    and that the refining sector is among the priorities of our work and future plans, and is receiving attention and support from Prime Minister".
     He added, "The Minister of Oil discussed with the company's management plans to raise the refining capacity of the Central Refineries Company to (500,000 barrels) per day in 2026,
    and disclosed the current production of the Dora refinery, which amounts to (140,000) barrels per day."
    He referred to "the Ministry of Oil's endeavor to develop existing refineries, increase production from them, and reduce the import of petroleum products," noting that "
    The Minister of Oil directed the company's management to expedite the development of a study to add new units to the Samawah, Diwaniyah, and Najaf refineries, aiming to achieve an increase in production and provide job opportunities for the people of the concerned governorates, stressing "work in accordance with occupational safety requirements and maintaining environmental and public health standards."
    He praised "efforts ." Workers in the refining sector and their keenness to do more, despite the health, economic and political challenges and the difficult circumstances that Iraq witnessed during the last period.
    For his part, the General Manager of the Middle Refineries Company, Aed Jaber, explained that "this visit expresses the interest that the refining sector enjoys in its work and approach." Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil and the government, stressing his company's "commitment to the ministry's plans to develop and increase production in a way that achieves the goals and plans of the ministry."
    He pointed out that "the Central Refineries Company includes the Dora refinery, the Karbala refinery, the Najaf refinery, the Samawah refinery, and the Diwaniyah refinery."
